Miralon Country Club Clubhouse & Pool Area Cushion Refresh

DC Custom Upholstery recently completed a custom cushion project for Miralon Country Club in Palm Springs, refreshing both the clubhouse and pool area cushions with new Sunbrella performance fabric.

For this project, the goal was to create a clean, elevated look while making sure the cushions were built for real outdoor and hospitality use. Country club seating needs more than good fabric — it needs the right materials inside and out to handle sun exposure, moisture, daily use, and the standards of a high-end property.

That is why this project was built with high-end Dri-Fast foam, designed to allow water to drain through more efficiently than standard foam. This helps the cushions dry faster and perform better in poolside and outdoor environments.

We also used UV-resistant polyester outdoor industrial thread from Trivantage, giving the cushions stronger stitching built for exterior use. Combined with Sunbrella fabric, these materials helped create cushions that are both attractive and durable.

This project was completed in collaboration with Anthony AGF Designs, bringing together design direction and custom upholstery craftsmanship to refresh Miralon Country Club’s clubhouse and poolside seating areas.

At DC Custom Upholstery, we take pride in delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines, and our recent project at Avalon Hotel Palm Springs was one of our biggest milestones yet.

We were trusted with upholstering 64 chaise lounges, and the timeline was intense: just 10 days from start to finish.

What made this project even more important was the deadline.

Everything had to be completed before the start of Coachella Festival, one of the busiest times of year for hospitality in the Coachella Valley. With guests, events, and increased occupancy right around the corner, timing was critical.

This became not only a major commercial upholstery project, but also a race against the clock.

Critical Timing Before Festival Season

For hotels in Palm Springs, the weeks leading into Coachella are some of the most important of the year.

Rooms fill up, pool areas become central gathering spaces, and presentation matters more than ever.

The chaise lounges needed to be fully completed and guest-ready before festival weekend began.

That meant every step — material prep, scheduling, labor coordination, and final installation — had to move efficiently and without delays.

Completing 64 chaise lounges in only 10 days under that kind of pressure became a new personal record for our team.

Speed Without Sacrificing Quality

Fast turnaround never means cutting corners.

Each chaise lounge was completed with the same level of craftsmanship, durability, and clean finish that our hospitality clients expect.

Our goal was simple:

• Deliver before Coachella
• Maintain consistent quality across all 64 pieces
• Ensure the hotel pool area was ready for peak guest traffic
• Produce high quality drifast foam without sacrificing comfort

This project pushed us hard, but it proved what experience and preparation can accomplish.

A Milestone for DC Custom Upholstery

Breaking this record was a huge moment for us.

2026 and are we still here?

Well, we are blessed to still be here and are grateful that we are still in business. With the recent closure of another upholstery shop, near us, I felt it important to make a new blog post regarding our business and services. Yes, we are still here and yes, we are still busy playing catch up for all new and existing clients!

Transparently, I have another 40 years before I can even consider retirement. On September, 2025 we introduced our newborn to the world. She is our first baby on my side of the family and I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to become a father. I am also happy that she still has her grandparents around to be there for her. Those of you that know my story, know the struggle and long process my wife and I had to go through in order to make this happen. Our sweet angel is here now and I am now more motivated than ever to work so that my family has everything they need to grow and be happy.

So, thank you to everyone's patience and if you were wondering why we were closed during certain hours and days, now you know. Thankfully, our baby girl sleeps better now and I can get back to regular business hours.

To those that were in doubt on whether we are open, you can rest assure that we are still here and with big plans in the coming months.
